How to store Saffron

Saffron is an exotic spice that not only adds aroma to your food, but also gives it a unique taste and colour. It has a lot of health benefits as it can act as an anti-oxidant, anti-depressant, anti-anxiety and also helps boost your immune system.

If you’ve never purchased saffron before, you may not be aware of choosing the best quality saffron and the method to store it. Saffron can be found in thread form or powdered form. Depending on which form you buy, the storage methods differ.

If you buy saffron in thread form, make sure it is stores in an “Air-tight” container. This helps in retaining the aroma and flavour. Also, the darker the threads, the better quality it is.
